Terms of Reference

Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international humanitarian and development organization with Headquarter based in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. It is in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). The Mission/Vision of GNI works to transform the world to a peaceful and secure world, where no one suffers from starvation; where no one falls victim to preventable diseases; where everyone is comforted and respected with no alienation for any reason.


Good Neighbors Tanzania(GNTZ) was established in 2005 in Dar es Salaam as the Head office. Good Neighbors Tanzania is a non-profit organization based in Dar es Salaam and is currently operating various projects in 9 regions throughout the The United Republic of Tanzania including Mwanza. Good Neighbors Tanzania Mwanza Area Office is implementing exit program on Maternal and Newborn Health improvement project at Kishapu District Council in Shinyanga Region, Health, Education, and WASH projects at Buchosa and Sengerema District in Mwanza. Also, conduct the rapid schistosomiasis assessment with school children in Kome Island under a partnership with Korea Association of Health Promotion.The target of 1,440 children with 12 schools which they use a sample of 120 children in each school. The goal of the activity was to get detailed preliminary data on the health of the children who live in Kome Island for Health project.

Position: Volunteer
Location: Mwanza
Period:  3 Months (From September to November 2019)

Objective
To provide support in administrative operations including finance, HR, procurement and logistical services for the Mwanza Area Office, and ensure effective and transparent utilization of all resources and integrity of administration and operation services.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Administration Division in providing supports for the below duties.
  1. Manage the retirements and archive documents in the finance department.
  2. Procurement and other logistic works.
  3. Updating and review of office property inventory.
  4. Receiving, filing and managing of office documents such as contracts, and all official letters in an orderly manner.
  5. Other administrative tasks are given by the supervisor.
Competencies and Qualification
  • Bachelor degree/ Diploma in Accountant
  • A graduate of accounting and business
  • Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
·         Fluency in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Ability to work in an international and multi-national environment.
·         Well-organized, resourceful with good planning and problem-solving abilities.
·         A team player, flexible, quick-thinking and able to work well under pressure.
·         Commitment to the Organization vision, mission, values, and goals.
·         Commitment to abide by Good Neighbors Tanzania Staff Terms and Regulations.
