MUSTI opens aPPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO VARIOUS DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020

The Vice Chancellor of Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) invites suitably

qualified Tanzanian and Non Tanzanian candidates for admission into various Diploma courses for the

academic year 2019/2020.

1. ORDINARY DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES IN:-

(i) Architecture

(ii) Civil Engineering

(iii) Highway Engineering

(iv) Mining Engineering

(v) Computer Engineering

(vi) Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

(vii) Computer Science

(viii) Electrical and Electronic Engineering

(ix) Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering

(x) Mechanical Engineering

(xi) Mechatronics Engineering

(xii) Food science and Technology

(xiii) Laboratory Science and Technology

(xiv) Biomedical Equipment Engineering

(xv) Business Administration

(a) Delivery Mode : (i) Full Time Program

2. ORDINARY DIPLOMA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR

2019/2020:

(i) For candidates applying for Technology in Architecture

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at

least four (4) non-Religious subjects, three of which must be Mathematics, Physics,

Chemistry/Geography

OR

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) from Technical

Secondary Schools with a pass in at least four (4) non- Religious subjects, three of which

must be Mathematics, Engineering Science, Chemistry and any one of the following subjects:

Architectural Drafting/Building Construction, Electrical Engineering Science/Electrical

Drafting, Workshop Technology/Mechanical Drafting.

OR

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at

least four (4) non-Religious subjects, two of which must be among the following subjects:

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Geography with possession of TRADE TEST GRADE I /

NVA LEVEL III issued by VETA.

(ii) For candidates applying Engineering Courses

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at

least four (4) non -Religious s u b j e c t s , three of which must b e M a t h e m a t i c s ,

Physics, Chemistry

OR

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) from Technical

Secondary Schools with a pass in at least four (4) non- Religious subjects, three of which

must be Mathematics, Engineering Science, Chemistry and any one of the following subjects:

Architectural Drafting/Building Construction, Electrical Engineering Science/Electrical

Drafting, Workshop Technology/Mechanical Drafting.

OR

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at

least four (4) non-Religious subjects, two must be among the following subjects:

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with possession of TRADE TEST GRADE I / NVA LEVEL

III issued by VETA

(iii)For candidates applying for Computer Science or Information and

Communication Technology

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at

least four (4) non -Religious s u b j e c t s , two of which must b e M a t h e m a t i c s and

English

OR

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) from Technical

Secondary Schools with a pass in at least four (4) non- Religious subjects, two of which

must be Mathematics and English and any two of the following subjects: Engineering

Science/Chemistry, Architectural Drafting/Building Construction, Electrical Engineering

Science/Electrical Drafting, Workshop Technology/Mechanical Drafting.

OR

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at

least four (4) non-Religious subjects, two must be among the following subjects:

Mathematics ,Physics, Chemistry, English with possession of TRADE TEST GRADE I / NVA

LEVEL III issued by VETA.

(iv) For candidates applying for Biomedical Equipment Engineering and

Laboratory Science and Technology

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at

least four (4) non-Religious subjects in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

OR

Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) from Technical

Secondary Schools with a pass in at least four (4) non- Religious subjects, Mathematics,

Engineering Science, Chemistry and Biology.
